I am proud to offer the Birth Restored Childbirth Education Course! Akasha Hines originally designed this course to help educate, equip, and empower mothers to have a calm, confident birth by pointing to a biblical view of childbirth and diving into the science and anatomy of conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. After becoming certified to teach Birth Restored, I’ve been blessed to add my personal experience and expertise to guide new parents through pregnancy and parenthood.

With Birth Restored, learn everything from how to choose your provider to expectations for each trimester to the science and wonderful design of labor through the golden hour. Get the information you need to navigate confidently through this season of life.
what you will learn
Birth Restored is a 5-week hybrid course. We will meet live in Weeks 1, 3, and 5. Weeks 2 and 4 will be virtual and self-paced.
Week 1 enlightens us to God's miraculous design of birth, biblical truths in pregnancy, prenatal wellness, standard tests, choosing your birth team and birth location, and more.
Week 2 addresses various pregnancy complications, expectations before labor begins, your birthing day, stages of birth both medically and holistically, and common interventions.
Week 3 equips you and your partner with labor and birth expectations, biblical truths in birth, unmedicated birth, optional pain medications, and possible labor challenges.
Week 4 prepares you and your partner for postpartum care and expectations, newborn care immediately after birth, newborn care at home, breastfeeding basics, and creating a birth plan.
Week 5 teaches you and your partner hands-on comfort measures for labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, and labor and birthing positions.
By the end of the course, you will…
Have a deep understanding of God’s design for pregnancy and birth
Know how your body was created to work during birth
Understand how to confidently make the right choices for you and your baby early to set yourself up for success
Be able to discern the major differences between the American Birthing Culture and a God-designed Uninterrupted Birth
Learn how to navigate common interventions with ease to make wise decisions to avoid an unnecessary c-section *
Gain a deeper understanding of Biblical Theology surrounding birth, uncover the lies entwined in the American Birthing Culture, and learn powerful tools to work with your body to have a joyful birth experience
* The US cesarean section rate was 32.4% in 2023 and has continued to climb year after year.

It is truly never too early to take this class. If you're not pregnant, and you guys are trying to conceive, you are more than welcome to learn with us!
It's also never too late. if you're already in your third trimester, there are still things that are helpful for you to learn to prepare for labor!
In my opinion, a sweet spot to take this course is somewhere between weeks 10-20 of pregnancy, but people have taken this course throughout their pregnancy journey.

This is a hybrid 5 week course. We will meet live for Weeks 1, 3, and 5. Weeks 2 and 4 will be independent learning, and you will get information on how to access your online portal after registration. Any questions you have about Weeks 2 and 4 can be brought in and addressed during our live sessions. I'll also be available to you outside of class hours.
The hybrid course costs $350 in total. $300 of that is to be paid by invoice before the first day of class, with the remaining $50 to be paid during the first class when we set up your account profile in the virtual portal.
